Elite Group
Batting Performances
- Madhya Pradesh vs Karnataka
- Rain played a big role, but Nikin Jose’s 99 and Shreyas Gopal’s unbeaten 60 for Karnataka helped them reach 206/5 at stumps. Madhya Pradesh’s standout performance came from Shubham Sharma, who played a brilliant knock of 143.
- Jammu and Kashmir vs Maharashtra
- J&K secured points for their first-innings lead after Maharashtra’s response of 428 to J&K’s 519/7. Maharashtra’s batting was highlighted by Siddhesh Veer (127), Ruturaj Gaikwad (86), and Arshin Kulkarni (87), but J&K held on for the advantage.
- Uttar Pradesh vs Bengal
- Bengal’s Sudip Chatterjee scored 93 to add to his first-innings century (116), while Abhimanyu Easwaran contributed 127 as Bengal declared at 254/3. Priyam Garg’s unbeaten century gave UP hope, but the match ended in a draw with UP on 162/6. Bengal took three points for their first-innings lead.
Bowling Performances
- Tamil Nadu vs Saurashtra
- Tamil Nadu crushed Saurashtra by an innings and 70 runs. Gurjapneet Singh led the bowling attack with a six-wicket haul as Saurashtra crumbled to scores of 203 and 94.
- Baroda vs Mumbai
- Baroda’s Bhargav Bhatt took six wickets, bundling out Mumbai for 177 while chasing 262. Siddhesh Lad’s 59 wasn’t enough to save Mumbai, who fell short by 84 runs.
- Kerala vs Punjab
- Kerala bowled out Punjab for 142, with Aditya Sarwate and Baba Aparajith picking up four wickets each. Kerala chased down their target of 158 with ease, thanks to Sachin Baby (56) and Rohan Kunnummal (48).
- Hyderabad vs Gujarat
- Gujarat’s bowlers put Hyderabad under pressure in their chase of 297, dismissing them for 217. Abhirath Reddy fought with 51, but wickets fell regularly, leading to Hyderabad’s defeat.
- Chhattisgarh vs Delhi
- Delhi edged out Chhattisgarh in a tightly contested match, taking the points due to a slim 14-run first-innings lead. Despite good bowling from Navdeep Saini (3-36) and Hrithik Shokeen (2-35), Chhattisgarh held on for a draw.
- Vidarbha vs Andhra
- Vidarbha defeated Andhra by 74 runs, thanks to solid bowling from Aditya Thakare and Harsh Dubey, both of whom took four wickets. Despite half-centuries from Abhishek Reddy (78) and Shaik Rasheed (74), Andhra fell short chasing 318.
Plate Group
- Sikkim vs Mizoram
- Sikkim claimed a massive 137-run victory over Mizoram, bowling them out for 160 while defending a target of 298. KC Cariappa was Mizoram’s standout player, scoring 75 and taking 12 wickets in the match, but his one-man effort couldn’t save his team.
These matches were filled with excellent individual performances and intense team efforts, showcasing the depth of talent across the groups.
