PCB to Conduct Fitness Tests for Four Key Players Ahead of Second Test Against England

The PCB has planned to conduct fitness tests of four national team players before the second Test match between Pakistan and England in Multan starting from October 15.

As per the reports, these players include Kamran Ghulam, Zahid Mahmood, Imam-ul-Haq and Nauman Ali, for these players are said to have arrived in Multan for their fitness tests which ought to be conducted today.

Before the start of the series, both Nauman and Zahid were excluded from the squad for the first test because they failed to work out correspondingly fit.

Further, sources suggest that spinner Abrar Ahmed, who is being sidelined for the second Test, continues to be a hospital.

However, it is quite remarkable that England streaked to an innings and 47 runs victory over Pakistan in the first Test match played at Multan. Pakistan after getting 152/6 in the morning were all out for 220 with Salman Ali Agha making 63. Jack Leach bowled well for England and picked up 4 wickets, Aamir Jamal on the other hand was not out on 55.

The second Test is important for Pakistan to level up again from a loss in the first Test and thus putting England ahead 1-0 in the series.
